About LongHouse Reserve

LongHouse Reserve in East Hampton, NY, is a 16-acre sculpture garden and natural sanctuary founded in 1991 by Jack Lenor Larsen (1927-2020), internationally known textile designer and one of the world’s foremost advocates of traditional and contemporary craft. The mission of the institution is to exemplify living with art in all its forms, and it provides a unique cultural experience where programs in visual and performing arts, horticulture, and education are offered to the public. The extensive natural and cultivated species in union with art are what make LHR unique. LongHouse has made a pledge to earth equity, removing chemicals from our processes, conserving water, and adopting best practices for the plants, for bird and insect biodiversity, and for our garden staff and visitors. Positions at LongHouse are normally include paid time off, holidays, and medical benefits. Work on weekends and evenings is required of most positions, with days off during the week. Part-time or hourly arrangements can be made according to the requirements of the position. Positions are onsite, with consideration given for hybrid or remote work in certain positions. Our manual positions (garden, grounds, facilities) bear certain physical requirements, and reasonable accommodations may be made, when necessary and feasible, to allow a qualified individual to perform essential job functions.
